DID YOU KNOW: HIV cases in PH

In June 2018, there were 993 new human immunodeficiency virus cases recorded nationwide, according to the Department of Health.

The figure was lower compared to the 1,015 cases recorded during the same period last year. Of the 993 new cases, 77 deaths were reported. —MARIELLE MEDINA, INQUIRER RESEARCH
