Elderly man killed by speeding motorcycle rider in Isabela

DELFIN ALBANO, Isabela — A 69-year-old man was killed by a speeding motorcycle rider at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday (Aug. 25) in San Juan village here, police said.

Alfredo Padre was walking along the street when he was run over by the motorcycle driven by Eric Laddaran, a 23-year-old construction worker. Padre died from head injuries.

Laddaran surrendered to the police and will face a charge of homicide due to reckless imprudence. /je
