The southwest monsoon or “habagat” will continue to bring widespread rain over the northern and western sections of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday.
In a weather advisory, the agency said the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan group of islands, Zambales and Bataan would experience monsoon rain.
It added that the rest of Central Luzon and the Cagayan Valley Region would have cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms.
The Pagasa urged residents of affected areas to be mindful of possible flooding and landslides brought by scattered moderate to at times heavy rain.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought by localized thunderstorms. /cbb
