2 killed in CamSur buy bust

NAGA CITY– Two suspected drug pushers were killed in a shootout with police officers during a buy bust transaction in Nabua town in Camarines Sur province Friday afternoon.

According to a police report, suspects Joselito Namia and Eric Escolano were killed after they allegedly opened fire at the undercover officers during the bust at around 4:30 p.m.

The police officers, said the report, were then forced to fire back, killing the suspects.

An investigation of the incident is still ongoing.  /muf
