DOTr suspends 3 emission testing centers for falsifying test results

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Thursday ordered the suspension of three Private Emission Testing Centers (PETC) for falsification of emission test results.

In an advisory, the DOTr,  through its Investigation Security and Law Enforcement Staff (ISLES), filed the suspension order of Victory Emission Testing Center in 235 Barangka Drive, Mandaluyong City; RNJ Emission Testing Center in Muzon, San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan; and Six Eleven Emission Test Co. in Southwestern Poblacion, Calamba, Misamis Occidental.

The emission centers’ preliminary suspension issued last August 17 was made pursuant to DOTr’s Department Order 2016-017, after they were caught to have falsified test results or entered false information regarding tested vehicles.

Copies of the suspension orders were also served to the PETC IT Service Provider, which shall be subject to the same penalties should it disregard the said order by continuing to process any data transmitted by such PETCs. /je
