6 suspected drug pushers nabbed in Quezon buy-busts

LUCENA CITY – Six suspected drug pushers were arrested in separate buy-busts in Lucena City and the towns of Sariaya and Candelaria in Quezon province.

Supt. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said anti-illegal drugs operatives, acting on information from concerned citizens and drug surrenderers, collared Jeric Desembrana after he sold shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) Dalahican around 5:30 a.m. Thursday.

Authorities seized 16 sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) weighing a total of 1.53 grams worth P7,650 in the street market from the suspect.

Senior Supt. Osmundo de Gusman, Quezon police director, also reported the arrest of five suspected street-level drug pushers in separate buy-bust operations in Sariaya and Candelaria towns.

In Candelaria, Bernardino Cambay was busted in Barangay Pahinga Norte past midnight Thursday.

Earlier, a police also arrested Jeffrey Escalona in the same village.

In Sariaya, authorities arrested Abraham Flor, Michael Bedonia and Jojit Dimailig in separate operations on Wednesday.

The five suspects yielded several sachets of shabu weighing a total of less than three grams.
