Magnitude 5 quake jolts Cagayan
TUGUEGARAO CITY—- A Magnitude 5 earthquake rocked the coastal town of Calayan in Cagayan province at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) tracked the quake’s epicenter at 24-kilometers southwest of Calayan.
With a 15-kilometer depth, the quake which was tectonic in origin was followed by aftershocks although no injuries nor damages were reported.
