2 drug, crime suspects slain in Cavite, Rizal
SAN PEDRO CITY – Two crime suspects were killed in separate shootouts with the police in Cavite and Rizal, the police said on Tuesday.
In Cavite City, Jeffrey de Dios was killed in a buy-bust operation around 10 p.m. Monday in Barangay 48A, according to a report from the provincial police.
De Dios was the target of an anti-drug operation when he allegedly drew out and fired shots at the undercover policemen during the transaction.
The police fired back and de Dios was hit. He was brought to the Bautista Hospital but died on the way. The police said they recovered five sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth) from the suspect.
About an hour later in Antipolo City, a still unidentified man was also killed in a shootout in Barangay Inarawan.
Police flagged down the suspect, on board a motorcycle, at a checkpoint but instead of pulling over, he sped past the authorities, a report from the regional police said.

The suspect was hit and died instantly when the police shot back, according to the police. MARICAR CINCO
