Immigration readies deportation of 3 foreign fugitives

The Bureau of Immigration will soon deport three foreign fugitives wanted for various crimes in their homelands. Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said the fugitives were arrested last week in separate operations conducted by members of the bureau’s Fugitive Search Unit (FSU). One of those arrested was 53-year-old British national, Stephen James Forrest, a convicted sex offender wanted by Britain’s National Crime Agency for violating the conditions of his probation. Thomas Michael Heinig, 48, a German national wanted for a string of fraud cases in his country, was arrested in Mandaluyong City. Last Friday, FSU agents arrested 54-year-old Simon Boulstridge Bailey, who is the subject of an Interpol red notice in connection with a case for forgery that was filed against him in Britain. —TINA G.
