Who’s in a coma?

Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio disputed speculations that President Rodrigo Duterte was in a state of coma.

“He ate sinigang na ribs and pancit for lunch today,” the younger Duterte said in a text message when asked to react about the never-ending rumors about her father, who has allegedly fallen into a state of coma.

Malacañang has refuted Sison’s claim.

“Contrary to what Joma Sison said, the President is fine and well in Davao, participating in Kadayawan,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a Palace briefing.

Duterte’s trusted aide, Specia Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go said Duterte was just in his bed.

“Maybe Joma was just dreaming and he put C in Joma instead of his name. It was just him after all,” Go said in jest.

Duterte was last seen in public on Saturday when he attended the national convention of his San Beda Law fraternity Lex Talionis in Davao City.

He did not have any public event on Monday but is expected to attend the conference of the League of Municipalities Visayas Clusters in Cebu City.  /vvp
