Minglanilla shooting
A 27-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead by an unidentified assailant last Sunday night in barangay Linao, Minglanilla town, south Cebu.
Glemor Mocoy was rushed to Minglanilla District Hospital where doctors declared him already dead.
Initial police investigation revealed that Mocoy was on his way to Cebu City on board his motorcycle when a burst of gunfire was heard as he passed by barangay Linao at around 7 p.m.
Witnesses told police that the victim slumped on the ground after he was hit in the back. But none of them can point the shooter.

Man floats dead in Lapu
An unidentified man was found floating off the seawaters of barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City, Sunday.
The dead man was dressed in a green shirt and striped light blue shorts .
When fishermen from Punta Engaño took him out of the water, the victim was still holding a fish hook.
Witnesses said the man, believed to be in his 50s, was earlier seen fishing in knee-deep water around noon.
Past 1 p.m. fishermen noticed him floating facing down.
The victim was brought to the Lapu-Lapu District Hospital where he was declared already dead by doctors.
Police said the victim had no open wounds and may have suffered a heart attack.
