Suspect dead in Manila buy-bust op

A suspect was killed in an anti-drug operation of Manila Police District (MPD) operatives near Arellano Avenue in Malate, Manila, on early Thursday morning.

Initial investigation said an exchange of gunfire occurred at the corner of Zapanta and Pag-asa streets when the suspect, Adrian Azucar, sensed that he was transacting with police officers.

During the firefight, Azucar fell to the ground as he was hit by policemen from the Malate Police Station.  He was rushed to the Ospital ng Maynila but was declared dead on arrival.
