‘Shabu’ worth P360,000 seized in Legazpi City

LEGAZPI CITY – Authorities confiscated P360,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) from two suspected illegal drug personalities in separate drug operations on Wednesday in this city.

Arrested were Marvin Sevillano, alias “Gaus,” and Antonio Alejo, alias “Anton,” both residents of Barangay (village) Sabang, where the anti-drug operations took place, according to City Mayor Noel Rosal.

Armed with a search warrant, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and city police members conducted separate raids in the village at 9:05 p.m.

Rosal, quoting a PDEA report, said the raid at Sevillano’s house yielded 40 grams of shabu worth P240,000.

At Alejo’s residence, the raiding team seized 20 grams of shabu worth P120,000.

Rosal said in an interview that Sabang was considered a drug “hotbed.”
