DID YOU KNOW: Fewer typhoid fever cases recorded in NCR

Of the 5,455 cases of typhoid fever reported nationwide from January to April 28 this year, 138 were from the National Capital Region.

This was 21 percent lower compared to the 174 cases reported in the region during the same period last year.

Northern Mindanao recorded the highest number of typhoid fever cases this year, with 1,093 cases. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
