THE BATTLE for local commercial basketball supremacy begins today as the best-of-three championship series in the M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu Basketball Association between the Ave Maria Sanctuary and Park, and the Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT) Skyblazers kicks off with Game 1 at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex.
The two teams made it to the championship round by virtue of their superior records after the round-robin semifinals.
More than pride, at stake is a whopping P200,000, which will go the champion squad.
The contest is expected to be a rough-and-tumble affair with both squads boasting of powerhouse lineups.
