The Metro Manila and some parts of Luzon are expected to have inclement weather on Tuesday due to the effect of the southwest monsoon.
Three weather disturbances will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon that will bring monsoon rains over the northern section of Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The state weather bureau is currently monitoring a low pressure area located 760 kilometers (km) east-northeast of Basco, Batanes.
Severe Tropical Storm “Leepi” was last observed at 1,775 km east-northeast of extreme northern Luzon, outside of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
Also outside PAR is Tropical Storm “Bebinca” located 810 km west-northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.
Pagasa says Metro Manila, Occidental Mindoro, the Calabarzon Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will have occasional rains brought by the storm-enhanced southwest monsoon.
The rest of Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.
Pagasa continues to caution the public for possible flooding and landslides brought by the inclement weather. /cbb
