Top officials of the Philippine National Police including its chief, Director General Oscar Albayalde, Deputy Director Jose Maria Ramos, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar made an aerial assessment of the flood-stricken areas in Metro Manila on Monday.
The officials, who were also accompanied by PNP Spokesperson Sr. Supt Benigno Durana, Eastern Police District Director Sr. Supt. Bernabe Balba, and Marikina City Police Chief Sr. Supt. Roger Quesada, also visited families in evacuation centers in Marikina City.
Earlier, Albayalde assured the people that the police will assist in the search and rescue operations, and on the implementation of price freeze orders in areas under the state of calamity./ac
