Work at the House of Representatives was suspended Monday due to the inclement weather brought about by the storm-enhanced southwest monsoon or “habagat.”

The House Press and Public Affairs Bureau (PPAB) announced the work stoppage around 9:00 a.m. The Office of the Speaker also confirmed this but said they would “keep skeletal force to support committee hearings that will proceed.”

While the 3:00 p.m. session was likewise suspended, all other committee hearings will proceed as scheduled according to PPAB. This includes the committee on energy and the committee on games and amusements hearings at 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., respectively.
