LUCENA CITY – Police arrested three suspected drug pushers in separate operations in Atimonan and Gumaca towns in Quezon province on Saturday.

Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman, Quezon police director, said anti-illegal drugs operatives arrested Restituto Aumentado, 55, after he sold shabu to a police officer posing as a drug user in Atimonan town at about 5:30 p.m.

Seized from the suspect were five grams of shabu packed in 26 plastic sachets ready for distribution to local drug users.

In Gumaca town, policemen armed with search warrants arrested Ralph John Javinez and Seyed Mossah Ayatollah Rafsanjani, in two separate raids in their safe houses Saturday afternoon.

The raiders found four sachets of shabu weighing less than a gram from Rafsanjani while Javinez yielded several marijuana stalks inside a plastic ziplock bag and marijuana smoking paraphernalia.

Police tagged the three arrested suspects as street-level pushers in their localities. /cbb
