LIST: Class suspensions on Saturday, August 11

Classes on Saturday have been suspended due to persistent rainfall and threats of flooding bought by the southwest monsoon or “habagat.”

The following local government units have ordered the suspension of classes:

Metro Manila

Central Luzon

CALABARZON

Heavy rainfall affected by the “habagat” could also trigger flooding in some areas, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned.

Pagasa said tropical storm “Karding” accelerated overnight as it moved northwest, while another tropical depression was spotted 1040 km west of extreme Northern Luzon.  /muf
