Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio believes there is no need for Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson to apologize over the controversial “Pepedederalismo” jingle-video.
The Presidential daughter also said Uson should not take a leave of absence.
“No need to apologize or take a leave of absence, but must improve on the messaging of her task to present federalism to the people,” Duterte-Carpio told INQUIRER.net in a text message on Friday.
Uson and pro-Duterte blogger Drew Olivar became controversial because of their “Pepedederalismo” jingle-video, which sparked outrage from lawmakers and the public.
Former Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III has said Uson should stay away from the federalism campaign and take a leave of absence to “study first.”
Harold Clavite, director general of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), also called on Uson to publicly apologize and take a leave of absence for the vulgar jingle and video.
