MANILA, Philippines—Some 10 houses were partially buried by rubble after the riprap of a subdivision in Antipolo City collapsed Monday afternoon.

Joey Marco, head of the Antipolo City’s rescue team, said no one was hurt because residents were forewarned that the protective wall of Oro Vista Subdivision in Barangay (village) Mayamot was about to give way.

The houses, most of them two-story and made of concrete, were “damaged” as a result of the collapse which happened around 1 p.m. on Monday, Marco said.
