Clark airport served 1.53M passengers in 7 months
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – About 1.53 million passengers traveled via the Clark International Airport (CRK) north of this Pampanga capital from January to August 8, the highest so far for the former US military facility since 1995, an official said.
CRK is projected to serve 2.5 million travelers by the end of 2018, according to Alexander Cauguiran, president and chief executive officer of the Clark International Airport Corp.
CRK was developed by the Philippine government after it was relinquished by the US 13th Air Force’s Military Airlift Command.
More international and domestic airlines transferred operations partly or wholly to CRK, making 462 flights weekly. Tonette Orejas/lb
