Authorities confiscated some P72 million worth of alleged shabu following a buy-bust operation in Negros Occidental on Wednesday.

Six packs containing the alleged illegal drugs estimated to weigh 6,000 grams were seized from suspects identified as Armando and Josephine Paraquelles, and a certain alias “Putot,” who all managed to escape arrest, according to a regional police report.

Operatives carried out their anti-illegal drugs sting around past midnight Wednesday in Barangay Palampas in San Carlos City. The suspects scampered and abandoned the suspected shabu upon sensing that their buyers were agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Aside from the alleged illegal drugs, authorities also recovered a cellphone, a motorcycle, and the P6.8-million boodle money from the buy-bust scene. /kga
