PDEA nabs couple in Legazpi raid, P150K worth of shabu seized

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested in Legazpi City on Tuesday night a couple who is listed as “high value targets” for illegal drug pushing.

Arrested during the raid on their house in Barangay (village) Puro at about 9:30 p.m. were Manuelito Jacobe, 48, and his wife Gloria, 47.

Edwin Lucero, chief of PDEA in Albay said agents also seized 25 grams of suspected shabu (crystal meth) with a street value of P150,000 from the arrested suspects.

According to PDEA, the Jacobe couple has been reported to be operating and maintaining a drug
network in Barangays Sabang and Puro.

PDEA also said the couple has links with big-time illegal drug traders who are now detained at the National Bilibid Prison (NBP).

Following their arrest, the couple was brought to the PDEA regional detention facility as charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are being prepared against them. /muf
