President Rodrigo Duterte showered with insults the alleged “crooked policemen” presented to him in Malacañang on Tuesday.
Duterte made a profanity-laden outburst live on national television toward the 102 policemen from Metro Manila and nearby provinces allegedly involved in kidnap-for-ransom, extortion, robbery, and serious illegal detention, among others.
“Pssst! Tumingin kayo sa akin. Sampalin ko kayo p***** i**. Tumingin kayo sa akin, dito sa mata ko. Look at me,” a fuming Duterte told the policemen while Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Oscar David Albayalde and National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar were beside him.
(Pssst! All of you, look at me. I will slap all of you s** of a b****. All of you, look at me, into my eyes. Look at me.)
He said the PNP has improved its image but the illegal actions of some erring police personnel have tarnished the agency’s reputation.
“Wala kayong silbi para sa akin. Salot kayo sa lipunan. Wina-warningan ko kayo (You have no use to me. You’re all plague to society. I am warning you),” he said.
The President then threatened to kill the policemen.
“Alam mo sa totoo lang, prangkahan ko ngayon ang buong Pilipinas, ‘pag ganun kayo nang ganun, p***** i** papatayin ko talaga kayo. Masiguro ninyo ‘yan. Wala na akong magawa sa inyo, mga ulol kayo,” he said.
(Actually, I’ll be frank… If you continue like that, s** of a b****, I will really kill all of you. Be sure of that. I cannot do anything with you.)
He said he will review the cases of the erring policemen and assign a special unit to monitor their activities.
“I will review your cases. Kayong may mga kasalanan na sindikato sa droga, sindikato sa corruption, meron akong special unit habang buhay bantayan kayo at ‘pag nagkamali kayo nang konti, sabihin ko patayin kayo,” he said.
(I will review your cases. All of you in drug syndicates, corruption syndicates, I have a special unit that will look after you forever and if you go wrong even for a bit, I will tell them to kill you.)
Stay in jail
The president advised the erring policemen to stay in jail if they want to stay alive.
“Kayong doon sa may kaso, huwag na kayong mag-bail. Huwag ninyo akong sisihin. Huwag na kayong magpiyansa; magtiis kayo diyan sa loob. Mas safer ang Pilipinas kung nasa loob kayo. O kung hindi, patay kayo,” he said.
(For those who have cases, don’t bail. Don’t blame me. Don’t bail; endure prison. The Philippines will be safer if you’re in jail.)
“Ang sunod ko sabi noon, sabi ko itong mga kriminal, sunod kayong mga police na kriminal. Hindi lang ninyo sinisira ‘yung police, it’s a government institution, an organ of government important to maintain law and order, kayo naman ang p***** i**,” he added.
(I said before after criminals, all you criminal cops will come next. You are not only destroying police, it’s a government institution, an organ of government important to maintain law and order, while all of you are s** of a b******!)
He warned the policemen that he was serious in his threat to kill them.
“Ako nagwa-warning lang sa inyo. Hindi ako nagwa-warning na para pantakot. Nagwa-warning ako para gawin ko, ‘yan ang totoo,” he said.
(Me, I’m just warning all of you. I will not warn to scare. I warn to do. That’s the truth)
“Wala na ‘yan pantakot. Alam ko hindi kayo matakot, may baril kayo, mag-hold-up kayo, mag-kidnap kayo, patayin pa ninyo. At sinabi pa ngayon sa akin sa — sabi ng hepe ninyo, may lumutang na naman na patay. T*** i…,” he added.
(No more scaring [you]. I know you all won’t be scared, you have guns, you hold-up, kidnap, even kill. And I was told now – your chief said, another dead surfaced. S** of a b****.)
The president said erring policemen could end up like the drug suspects killed under his administration’s brutal war on drugs.
“Gusto talaga niyo subukan? Puwes, ibigay ko sa inyo. At para naman sa kaalaman ng taong-bayan, ganun talaga ang gawin ko. Ganun talaga ang gawin ko. L**** kayo. Iyan ang usapan, wala tayong sisihan. Kagaya rin sa mga droga, sinabi ko na sa inyo,” he said.
(You really want to try? Well then, I will give it to you. And for the information of the people, I will really do that. I will really do that. You’re all shameless. That’s the deal, no blame game. Like in drugs, I already told you so.)
“‘Pag namatay itong mga p****** i** ‘to, huwag kayo pumunta sa amin at magsisigaw kayo ng “human rights, human rights, due process’. Wina-warningan ko na kayo eh,” he said.
(If these s**** of a b**** die, do not come to us and cry ‘human rights, human rights, due process’. I have been warning you all.)
He even asked the policemen about their feelings if he kidnapped their wives and behead them.
“Nagbitaw ako ng salita nung isang araw, nung nabasa ko — nalaman ko nga na may — pinatay ninyo ‘yung kidnap victim. Ano kaya kung gawain ko – ano kayang isip ninyo kung kidnapin ko ‘yang asawa mo tapos putulan ng ulo? Itapon diyan sa…,” he said.
(I said the other day, when I read – learned about – you killed the kidnap victim. What if I do – what would you think if I kidnap your spouse then behead her? Throw her somewhere.)
“Para magdusa ka lang rin. Mabigyan ka ng lekyson ng pinakamasakit para dudugo ang luha mo diyan sa p* kulungan na ‘yan,” he added.
(So you would also suffer. Just to give you a most painful lesson so you would cry blood while in jail.)
Duterte’s outburst came before he met the PNP and the Armed Forces of the Philippines for a joint command conference in Malacañang.
“Mag-tindig kayo diyan. Maya pa — magkukumperensiya pa kami. Huwag kayong umalis diyan. Gutumin kayo,” he said.
(Get up. Later – we’ll still have conference. Do not leave. Starve them.)
