A magnitude 4.4 earthquake rocked Zamboanga del Sur early Tuesday morning.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremor hit east of Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur, at 6:18 a.m. Another shake followed at 6:55 a.m at 2.2-magnitude also east of Tabina town.
Tabina felt the quake at Intensity IV.
The Phivolcs recorded it at Intensity III in Pagadian City, Intensity II in Iligan City and in Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur, and Intensity I in Zamboanga City.
The agency said no damage or aftershocks was expected from the tremor.
It had a depth of 16 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
