Con-com spox went straight to Mocha ‘without informing me’ – Andanar
Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said he was bypassed when Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson was tapped by the Consultative Committee (Con-com) spokesman Ding Generoso to spread public awareness on federalism.
“He went straight to Asec Mocha without informing me as the head of this department,” Andanar said in a press conference on Monday.
“I confronted spokesperson Ding Generoso today and I told him to disengage because he didn’t ask permission from PCOO (Presidential Communications Operations Office),” he added.
He said Generoso’s decision to tap Uson also was made without the consulting inter-agencies units of the PCOO, namely the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Commission on Higher Education (Ched), the Con-Com, and the PCOO itself.
“It should have a go signal from our department. There’s no go signal, he did not inform us,” he said.
Andanar then distanced himself from the viral video of Uson with the lyrics of “I-pepe, i-pepe, i-dede, i-dede… ipederalismo!”

Meanwhile, Generoso washed his hands off the controversy, saying the video blog was posted on social media on Thursday, a day before he met with Uson in Malacañang for a brainstorming session on the upcoming information drive. /ee
