Palace: Much to be done yet for Mindanao peace

05:40 AM August 06, 2018

Malacañang admitted that much work still needed to be done to attain lasting peace in Mindanao even after the signing of the Bangsamoro Organic Law.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque noted that although the signing of Republic Act (RA) No. 11054 was a “momentous step, more work still lies ahead.”

Roque made the remarks on Sunday, a day before President Rodrigo Duterte’s ceremonial signing of RA 11054, or the Organic Law for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. —Julie M. Aurelio
