DOTr apologizes for suspending distribution of Pantawid Pasada cards

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) apologized on Thursday for temporarily suspending the distribution of fuel subsidy cards to public utility jeepneys (PUJs).

In a statement, the DOTr said that the distribution of Pantawid Pasada fuel cards was called off “due to a technical issue being encountered by Landbank.”

“Landbank, however, gave us an assurance that they will fix the matter the soonest time possible, so that we can resume the distribution of the cards next week,” it added.

Earlier, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced that the subsidy cards distribution will be moved next week, citing a “change in schedule.” /jpv
