Cebu Queen City United blanks Uptown booters

The Cebu Queen City United (CQCU) B logged another win in yesterday’s resumption of the 14th Aboitiz Football Cup at the Aboitiz Sports Field at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City.

CQCU B is currently sitting at the top of bracket B with six points after posting its second win via a 6-0 routing of the Uptown United.

The other match yesterday morning in the men’s open saw Panalpina edging Don Bosco (DB) Magone, 2-1.

In the afternoon, Erco made up for its opening game loss with an impressive 5-0 trashing of Sumaba FC while the remaining men’s open match had University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Alumni squeaking past DBUFC A, 3-2.

In the Players 8 category, Giuseppe FC notched its second win in the category with a spectacular 6-0 demolition of Springdale.

Other teams posting wins in the category were San Roque Football Club (SRFC), Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) C and DBTC 4. SRFC outsmarted Montessori Lapu-Lapu, 4-1; DBTC C blanked Children’s Paradise Montessori School (CPMS), 4-0; and its sister team DBTC 4 also inflicted a 3-0 annihilation to BMALV.

SRFC continued its good performance in the Players 10, with its B team punishing Montessori Lapu-Lapu, 5-1.

The Cebu International School (CIS) also wasted no sweat as they went home with a 3-0 win when Bright Academy defaulted in their match. Springdale’s P10 team managed beat Giuseppe, 3-2. Another team which extended its winnings to two was Canduman, who blanked DBTC 3, 2-0.
