During the meeting, Baldwin explained to Duterte that the film intends to show the youth the consequences of making the wrong life choices.

“He (Baldwin) said that movies are one of the most effective ways to promote an advocacy, such as this,” Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go said, quoting the Hollywood actor.

“He also believes that if prevention from vices can be implemented early on, government leaders such as the President would have an easier job,” he added.

Go also mentioned that Baldwin gave Duterte a book titled “The Unusual Suspect,” the actor’s autobiography about his outlook on life after becoming a follower of Jesus Christ.

“The President thanked Mr. Baldwin for the book and promised to find time to read it,” Go said.

Likewise, Go said that Duterte assured Baldwin that he will “always be welcome in the Philippines and promised to extend his help to him in whatever form, should he need it.”

Baldwin then invited the President to attend the premiere showing of the film set to be shown from October to November this year. The President obliged, Go said.  /vvp
