/ 12:17 PM August 02, 2018

Passengers on Cebu Pacific flights going to and from Cebu from Saturday to Monday, August 4 to 6 are advised to come earlier to the airport due to expected heavy traffic in Mactan on those dates.

In an advisory, Cebu Pacific said some roads will be closed for the scheduled Ironman triathlon events.

“We urge passengers to plan their routes and make adjustments to get to the airport on time,” the airline’s advisory read.

Motorists going to the Mactan-Cebu International Airport can take the Sangi Mutombo Road or the Benito Ebuen Airbase, it added.

Check-in counters on these dates will still close 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Those boarding international flights are encouraged to check-in their luggage at least 2 hours before the flight, the Cebu Pacific advisory said.  /muf
