Former House Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas said he would go to the Supreme Court to clarify the issue on who should comprise and lead the Minority bloc in the House of Representatives.
Fariñas said Quezon City Rep. Danilo Suarez could not remain as the Minority leader since he voted for now-Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

“Definitely. I’ll go to the Supreme Court because they are now violating jurisprudence as laid down by the Supreme Court,” he told ABS-CBN News Channel on Wednesday.
Fariñas reiterated that under the rules, those who voted for the winning Speaker would automatically become part of the Majority.
He also stressed it was be ABS Party-list Rep. Eugene De Vera who should replace Suarez as minority leader since he was the only deputy minority leader who did not vote for Arroyo.

Fariñas also revealed that Arroyo offered him to stay as majority leader but he later refused since he said he was a “loyal person” and “cannot abandon” then-Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.
He has since resigned his post and Rep. Rolando Andaya Jr. has been named as the new Majority Leader. /cbb
