3 held for P820k worth of shabu seized in Abra
BAGUIO CITY — Three suspects were arrested on Monday (July 30) during anti-drug operations in Abra province that led to the seizure of guns and 147 grams of shabu (crystal meth) packed in sachets worth P820,000.
Tricycle driver Jay Azurin, 38; Lileth Mercurio, 28; and Maria Jenny Katrina Esmeralda, 28, were held following court-approved police searches at their homes in the villages of Agtangao and Cabuloan in Bangued town.
Police said Azurin and Mercurio led a drug group operating in Bangued, the capital town, and adjacent Abra municipalities.
Also confiscated from the suspects were two handguns and ammunition. KARLSTON LAPNITEN
