P1.5-M worth of shabu seized in Navotas by NPD

Authorities from the Northern Police District (NPD) obtained 10 sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P1.5 million from four suspects during a buy-bust operation in Navotas City on Tuesday morning.

A report from NPD said that alleged drug pushers Aldrin Campos, 31 years old; Jay-R Sonet, 30 years old; Jillian Alegado, 28 years old; and Merelyn Golfere, 24 years old, all residents of Barangay North Bay Boulevard in Navotas, were caught selling drugs to an undercover cop in the city’s Market 3.

Aside from the illegal substances which had a total weight of 250 grams, the marked money was also recovered from the suspects, who were brought to the District Drug Enforcement Unit for proper disposition.

Cases for violation of Section 5, in relation to Sections 26 and 11 of Article II, of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed before the Navotas City Prosecutor’s Office. /je
