Malacañang said on Monday the legal process should proceed on the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) controversial P60-million ad placements on programs of Bitag Multimedia Unlimited under the watch of former Tourism Secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo.
Teo’s brother, Bitag owner and television host Ben Tulfo, earlier announced in a Facebook post that he would not return the P60 million back to the DOT, claiming that they earned it for the “services” they rendered to the agency.
However, in a press briefing on Monday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said appropriate charges, if any, should be filed against everyone who got a cut in the P60 million ad deal.
“Since Ben (Tulfo) said, hindi na sila magbabalik, so be it,” Roque said. “We will let the legal process proceed. Let those liable be held responsible.”
“Dapat po lahat ‘yun binigyan ng cut mapasama sa demanda. Sino ba ho ‘yan. Well kung sino man po lahat ‘yan, ilabas po ang pangalan, and I’m sure dapat po maimbestigahan sila,” the presidential spokesman stressed. /vvp
