Padagyaw Festival
The sociocultural and religious heritage of the town of Dumarao in Capiz province takes center stage in a weeklong festival.
Activities include a dance choreography and music festival workshop and beauty pageant.
July 30 to Aug. 2
Abayan Festival
An annual celebration in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte province, in honor of St. Anne, who is known to protect the residents along Agusan River.
A highlight of the festival is the boat race along the river. The festival culminates with the 68th Charter Day celebration of the city.
Activities include an agrifishery trade fair, mural and body painting competition, cooking competition and mass wedding.
