What should have been a friendly chat of two online players over a mobile gaming app has become a real “clash” between two families after a man sent nude photos and videos of his “online girlfriend” to her family and friends.

Operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office-Regional Special Operations Unit (NCRPO-RSOU) arrested Jeffrey Iglesias Dizon, 30, in front of a hotel in Pasay City on Thursday afternoon based on the complaint of Maria (not her real name), 22, of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental province.

FEATURED STORIES

According to investigation, Maria met Dizon  in the chat room of online gaming app, Clash of Clans, in September 2017.

During their monthlong interaction in the game, the two players agreed to be “online partners.”

They shared a Facebook account where Maria sent private photos and videos upon Dizon’s demand—despite both having partners and children.

In April 2018, Maria’s husband, Joseph (not his real name) received a video call from his wife.

However, when he answered the call, it was a half-naked Dizon who appeared, put up the dirty finger and told him: “Just give me a few days and your wife will be mine, you asshole! Don’t worry, I’ll return her to you, I’ll just let her taste me.”

Maria admitted to her husband her relationship with Dizon, prompting the couple to break up.

In May, however, the husband and wife decided to patch things up  and “save their marriage.”

Naked photos

The victim sent a message to Dizon, telling him she would no longer continue with their relationship.

The next day, however, Dizon sent photos and videos of a naked Maria to her friends, using the Facebook account of her 1-year-old daughter.

According to the couple, Dizon kept on calling Maria, demanding that she come to his place in Manila and stay as his wife.

The suspect threatened to post more photos and videos on Facebook if she would not do so.

The couple sought the help of a TV program to catch Dizon, but the suspect was elusive, said RSOU team leader Paterno Domondon Jr.

On Thursday, authorities were able to lure Dizon out after Maria agreed to meet with him in Pasay City.

When he was collared, Dizon was met with punches from Maria and Joseph.

Dizon was charged with violation of the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act, which is punishable by up to seven years jail time and P500,000 penalty.

Revenge

“Napakawalanghiya niya. Binaboy niya ang asawa ko kaya hindi ko napigilan ang sarili ko (na saktan siya),” Joseph said.

Despite what happened, Joseph did not blame his wife.

“I love her. I know I have also faults because I was too busy. I promise to fix our family after this,” he added.

Dizon, who had a live-in partner with whom he has two children aged 3 and 7, said sorry.

“I was wrong, I only fell in love with her. I got jealous when she called it quits with me. I just wanted to take revenge that’s why I did those,” he said.
