The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has advised motorists to use alternate routes in some parts of Quezon City as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be doing road reblocking and repairs over the weekend.
In a statement on Friday, the MMDA said the DPWH road reblocking and repairs will start at 11 p.m. on Friday until Monday morning in the following areas:
SOUTHBOUND:
* EDSA infront of Francesca Tower to after Sct. Borromeo (3rd lane from the center island)
NORTHBOUND:
EDSA Vertis North to Trinoma Mall (2nd lane from sidewalk)
Congressional Ave., before cor. Jupiter St. (1st lane)
Fairview Ave. from Mindanao Ave. Extn to Jordan Plains Subd. and Jordan Plains Subd. to Mindanao Ave. Extn (3rd lane)
Batasan Road, Commonwealth Ave., to Kalinisan St. (1st lane)
The affected roads will be “fully passable” by 5 a.m. on Monday, MMDA said.
Meanwhile, Manila Water Co. Inc. will also perform pavement restoration which will take up one lane along C-5 Road (Southbound) before Lanuza Avenue intersection in front of Arcovia City.
The pavement restoration will start at 10 p.m. on Friday up to 4 a.m. on Monday, the MMDA said.
Another pavement restoration session is scheduled at 10 p.m. next Friday (August 3) until 4 a.m. of August 6 (Monday). Kristine Anne Macasiray INQUIRER.net intern /muf
