3 suspected criminals killed in Batangas, Cavite
SAN PEDRO CITY — Three suspected criminals were killed in separate police operations in Batangas and Cavite provinces, police said Thursday.
In Balayan, Batangas, two suspected thieves were killed in an entrapment operation around 2:30 a.m. in Barangay Lanatan.
According to a report from the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon police, suspect Christopher Macalalad and a still unidentified companion sold what was believed to be a stolen motorcycle to an undercover policeman.
During their transaction, Macalalad’s companion allegedly fired his gun prompting a shootout with policemen. Both were hit and died on the way to a hospital, the police said.
Meanwhile, in General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite, an illegal drug suspect identified as Crisanto Ocampo was killed in a buy-bust operation around 10 p.m. Wednesday in Barangay Maderan.
Cavite police spokesperson Supt. Chito Macaspac said Ocampo opened fire while transacting with an undercover policeman. The police recovered from him a sachet of suspected “shabu” ((methamphetamine hydrochloride). /ee
