Several students of Sophia School, a partner of the Inquirer Read-Along team, visited Singapore recently. Part of the school’s educational trips program, the visit aimed, among other things, to give students the opportunity to see some historical places and tourist spots.
The 17 high school students had a fun and enriching experience and learned about different cultures and history, which contributed to the development of their self-confidence and independence. With their teachers and representatives of the school board, the students also toured an international school and learned about its educational system. The Sophia delegation is shown with the 37-meter Singapore national symbol, the Merlion, half-lion-half fish creature, on Sentosa Island.
