Around 9,500 protesters join anti-Duterte rally in QC

As of 3:00 p.m. Monday, thousands of protesters at the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman Oblation Plaza marched along Commonwealth Avenue towards St. Peter’s Parish for the “United People’s SONA.”

Based on the records from the command post, the number of anti-Duterte protesters had reached 9,480.

Expected to arrive at the “United People’s SONA” is ousted Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno who will lead the anti-Duterte demonstrators against the government’s bid for charter change.

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) earlier monitored nearly 2,700 protestors at 1 p.m. /je
