Cavite placed under state of calamity

The province of Cavite on Sunday was placed under a state of calamity due to persistent heavy rainfall from the southwest monsoon or “habagat” and consecutive typhoons.

Cavite Gov. Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla told citizens in a Facebook post to refrain from going outside their houses and observe safety measures.

“Mag-iingat ang lahat kung maaari at huwag nang lumabas ng kanilang bahay. Nasa state of calamity na ang coastal towns ng ating probinsya,” he said.
