LOOK: What people wore at #SONA2018

Congress has just opened its third regular session early Monday, several hours before President Rodrigo Duterte delivers his State of the Nation Address (Sona).

Around 10 a.m., the Senate and House of Representatives formally began their respective sessions.

And as usual, the opening of every session of Congress stirred public interest on the outfit that lawmakers and their wives, partners, guests and other stakeholders would wear for the historical occasion.

At the Senate, the men held on to their classic Barong Tagalog while monochromatic hues seemed to dominate this year’s Sona fashion for the women.

The Senators are expected to proceed to the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City in the afternoon for a joint session with congressmen in time for the Sona of Duterte.   /kga
