The Department of Justice (DOJ) would soon issue new rules on how to prevent persons under criminal investigation from leaving the country without a court hold departure order.
Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said the department was revising its policy of placing criminal suspects under the so-called immigration lookout bulletin order after the Supreme Court made final its decision in April to prohibit the DOJ from preventing crime suspects from traveling abroad without a court order.
