The tropical cyclone warning signal is now down to one province as Tropical Depression Josie moves north-northeast of Bashi Channel.
According to the severe weather bulletin issued by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), signal number 1 remains over Batanes Islands.
The state weather bureau said that residents from the said area must expect occasional rains with gusty winds brought by Josie.
It added that sea travel remains risky over the northern and eastern seaboards of northern Luzon and the western seaboard of Central Luzon.
As of 1 p.m., Pagasa said that Josie was spotted at 265 kilometers north northeast of Basco, Batanes with a maximum sustained winds of 60 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 75 kph.
Josie is expected leave the Philippine area of responsibility either Sunday night or Monday morning.
Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon will continue to bring scattered to widespread monsoon rains over the following areas:

- Ilocos Region
- Cordillera Administrative Region
- Rest of Cagayan Valley
- Central Luzon
- Western Visayas
- Cavite
- Batangas
- Rizal
- Laguna
- Mindoro
- Northern Palawan including Calamian Group of Islands
