Alleged drug pusher slain in Batangas
SAN PEDRO CITY – A suspected drug pusher was killed in a police operation in San Pascual town in Batangas province.
A report from the Batangas police office on Sunday said the suspect Jeffrey Espeleta, alias “Barok,” was on the police watchlist of alleged drug pushers and had been previously arrested for illegal substance sale.
The police served a search warrant at Espeleta’s house in Barangay (village) Sambat about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
Espeleta allegedly opened fire, forcing the police to retaliate. He was hit and died on the way to a hospital.
The police said they recovered 26 sachets of suspected shabu worth about P20,000 and a .45-caliber pistol from the suspect. /cbb
