NPA returnee slain in Quezon town
LUCENA CITY – A former New People’s Army (NPA) rebel who surrendered to the military was gunned down in San Narciso town in Quezon province on Thursday.
A spot report from San Narciso police station said three still unidentified gunmen armed with undetermined caliber of firearms shot and killed farmer Marvin Flores, 35, in Barangay (village) San Juan around 11:30 a.m. Flores suffered fatal bullet wounds in different parts of the body and died on the spot.
Police said Flores was a former NPA rebel, who surrendered, then later became a member of the Citizens Armed Forces Geographical Unit but resigned. DELFIN MALLARI JR.
