‘Inday’ almost stationary; rains to persist in NCR, most of Luzon

From Pagasa website

Tropical Storm “Inday” remained almost stationary on Thursday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Inday was last spotted 840 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes. It packed maximum sustained winds of 64 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 80kph. Pagasa said the tropical storm will not hit land and might be out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Saturday.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bataan, Zambales, Batanes and Babuyan Group of Island will still experience monsoon rains enhanced by the storm, according to the government weather agency.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have occasional rains for Thursday.

On the other hand, Visayas and Mindanao will experience fair weather, according to Pagasa, despite likely partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers or thunderstorms. /kga
